We have been to Boro several times. It is in Long Island City but is close to 3 metro stations that go to Manhattan - we mostly use the Queensboro Plaza metro station. The hotel is minimalist with furniture but extras are readily available (we get a bar fridge, 2 fold out luggage racks, extra hangers and an extra bedside light at check-in). The room was clean. We have always felt safe in the area and are often coming home between 2200-2300. The barrister is excellent. There is a good supermarket, City Farmer's Market, not far from Queensboro Plaza station and another, Farmer Joe's, just a bit further away. There are 2 close convenience stores with fresh rolls and hot food.

The view! Wonderful skyline view from our 10th floor room. Very comfortable beds. Big room. Nice bathroom with good shower. We stayed in the corner room with 3 adult and that was very ok. Comfortable 3rd bed. Very well located close to 2 subways, in 20 minutes you reach central park. Nice “quiet” area with coffeeshop, deli, restaurant. Nice to come “home” in this area after busy day in the city. Very friendly and helpful front desk . Nice lobby bar with free (good) coffee in the morning. Expensive compared to non US cities but compared to other hotels in NYC good value for money. We liked the industrial style decoration!

Since I am familiar with Queens I enjoyed the location. Best for people traveling to an event in Long Island City or Astoria, even Roosevelt Island. The hotel was trendy and chic. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms are small as is typical for all NYC hotels. The balcony was nice to have and you can check the temperature outside to decide what to wear in the morning. Nice view of Queens from the 12th floor. We didn't hear a lot of noise from other rooms which was nice. The temperature in the room was easy to control. Coffee & tea was free till 9am. Coffee was very tasty and I bought a delicious croissant to eat with it.

The view was incredible, great location and very close to the subway (Queensboro Plaza for 7, N and W trains; 39 Av for N and W trains, and Queens Plaza for E, F and R trains), if you land in JFK you can take the E train and stop by Queens Plaza and walk about 7-10 minutes to the hotel. The room was comfy, clean and with good space, the bathroom has a good size and good shower. The staff service was excellent, very friendly and kind.

Queens may seem far from the action, quite the contrary. Boro is a short free bus (M70) & subway ride from LGA, <10min walk to 3 subway lines, 1 stop from midtown Manhattan. On top of that, Queens rocks! Fro its diverse ethnic cuisines and shops in Astoria & Flushing, MoMA PS1, The Noguchi Museum/Socrate Sculpture Park, Museum of the Moving Image, etc. Hotel location is ideal for a quiet respite at the end of a busy day.
